CEGES wins best Student Chapter

Friday, June 9, 2017

We are very proud to announce that the Civil, Environmental and Geological Engineering Society (CEGES) UW Chapter, has been named the President’s Best Student Chapter!

After a thorough review of annual reports from 26 student chapters by the Student Affairs committee, CEGES was awarded the top position amidst very keen competition.

The committee travelled to the CSCE Conference in Vancouver, to accept the award in person, and share their experiences with other chapter leaders.

CEGES is mentored by Drs Scott Walbridge and Susan Tighe and previously won the Most Improved Student Chapter in 2016. Their aim as a student society is to enhance the experience and knowledge of civil, environmental and geological engineering students through activities and events that complement their engineering education at UW.
