ERG graduate student Danielle Green receives the Davis Memorial Scholarship in Ecology

Friday, December 2, 2022
Danielle Green, a first year MSc student in ERG, was awarded the Davis Memorial Scholarship in Ecology. The scholarship will help support her research project on Impacts of Permafrost Thaw on Water Quality of Groundwater Discharge to Northern Lakes. The project will focus on lake browning trends in Canada’s northern freshwater resources, identifying the mechanism and pathways of groundwater DOC discharge, and assessing how browning and related changes in water chemistry affect the trophic state of lakes. Earlier this year, Danielle already received the 2022 Farvolden Scholarship from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and the Professor Marilyn Griffith Senior Honours Project Excellence Award from the Department of Biology. Congratulations Danielle on these remarkable achievements.
