Eby Leadership Award

Gloria Eby served as Dean of Students at Grebel from 1983 to 1993. During that time, she led a robust program in the residence that built a strong sense of community and understood the importance of developing strong student leaders. Alumni remember Gloria’s enthusiasm for community suppers, retreats, and earnest conversations that ranged from immediate life decisions, to spiritual matters and world issues. She and her husband Duane were constant figures at a wide variety of college events, and their children Sarah and Ben came to Grebel as students.
