Biographical Sketch: Abraham Break Sherk (Nov. 6, 1832-Nov. 27, 1916) was born near Breslau, Ontario, the son of Samuel Sherk and Magdalena Break. He was raised in the Brethren in Christ Church, but after training at Oberlin College in Ohio became a minister in the United Brethren in Christ Church. Later in life he was part of the Congregational church. He also began to write historical articles on Waterloo County themes; a number of these were published in various sources.

Custodial history: The photocopies were donated to the archives by E. Reginald Good.

Scope and content: The fonds consists of photocopies of a number of published articles, as well as copies of handwritten originals. The original manuscripts are in the Waterloo Historical Society Collection of the Kitchener Public Library.
