For students living in Renison Residence for their first year, our traditional double room and our Links double room are our two most common types of residence suites in our building.

Returning residents who live in Renison Residence for more than one year have the opportunity to access our limited traditional single room or Link single residence rooms.

Rooms at Renison are divided into three connected buildings: the Founders Building, the Link, and the Luxton Building.

The Founders and Luxton buildings are home to 84 traditional style double rooms. Students have the option of sharing the room with another resident or opting to occupy the room by themselves for an additional fee.

Traditional double style rooms are the most common room type at Renison.

TRADITIONAL DOUBLE ROOM FEATURES

Traditional double room

Traditional double style rooms are the most common room type at Renison. These rooms include:

  • 2 Single captain’s bed
  • 2 Full dressers
  • 2 Desks
  • Bookcase
  • Window coverings
  • Wireless internet
  • Heating
  • Service elevator

Due to the fluctuating male/female resident population, some students requesting a coed floor may be placed on a single-gendered floor.

Traditional single room

(for returning residents who live in Renison Residence for a second year)

The Luxton building is home to 8 students living in traditional-style single rooms. 

These rooms include:

  • Single captain’s bed 
  • Full dressers
  • 1 Desk
  • Bookcase
  • Window coverings
  • Wireless internet
  • Heating
  • Access to a service elevator

Due to the fluctuating male/female resident population, some students requesting a coed floor may be placed on a single sex floor. Males and females have separate bathroom space on traditional co-ed floors. 

Link double room

The Link is home to 16 spacious interconnecting double rooms, which accommodate two residents per room.

Four residents will share the connecting bathroom. Since these bathrooms are private, residents are responsible for cleaning them. Renison will provide the cleaning supplies. 

LINK DOUBLE ROOM FEATURES

These rooms share semi-private washroom facilities (two rooms are connected through a shared washroom). They also include:

  • 2 Single captain’s beds
  • 2 Full dressers
  • 2 Desks
  • Window coverings
  • Wireless internet
  • Heating and central air
  • Elevator service 

Interconnecting Link single rooms

(for returning residents who live in Renison Residence for a second year) 

The Link is also home to 16 interconnecting single rooms. These rooms are spread over two co-ed floors. 

These rooms share semi-private washroom facilities (two rooms are connected through a shared washroom). They also include:

  • Single captain’s bed
  • Full dresser
  • Desk
  • Window coverings
  • Wireless internet
  • Heating and central air conditioning
  • Access to elevator service 

Two residents will share the connecting bathroom. Since these bathrooms are private, residents are responsible for cleaning them. Renison will provide the cleaning supplies.
