Dr. Carl Peters and Dr. Rene Arseneault are two Canadian researchers currently seeking students and postdocs to gather more data for the first-ever academic project management framework they have designed. Previous student testers have already shown increased efficiency when using their specialized framework (which is freely accessible at this link).

They are also offering project management certificates at a 20% discount. While participation is entirely optional, taking advantage of this opportunity will greatly benefit students and enable them to conduct further research on this topic. Pathfinder Academy (pathfinder-academy.org)

Zero Work is a single weekend for frustrated students to get the clarity, tools, and motivation they need to design a great career, whether they’re in first year or graduate school, co-op or not! Unlike the Zero Experience, this is directly about careers and work success, and is powered by UW’s Centre for Career Development (CCD).

Apart from its core two workshops, Zero Work also includes CCD advisors for firesides, provides dozens of essays on resume design and career success, guided networking opportunities, etc. The program is happening for its fifth consecutive term in just two weekends, and applications are closing March 3rd.

International Conference on Games and Narrative (ICGaN) - Call for Proposal - This conference explores the many ways in which games utilize, exploit, and develop narrative forms. Along the way, we add to long-held discussions and debates about the nature of narrative in games: how gameplay facilitates and challenges narrative construction, how growing digital media create space for novel narrative forms, how game designers and players enact and shape their identities in narrative expression.

Dates of Conference: Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, to Monday, May 22nd, 2023

Hybrid Event: In-person at the Games Institute, University of Waterloo and Online
