We've had several busy weeks here at the Stratford School! Our students have been busy creating and showcasing projects, we've hosted events, and we've grown together. Read further to explore what Stratford School life has been like over the last few weeks.
BLEND Design and Business Conference: Design for All
We were excited to host our annual BLEND design and business conference earlier in March! BLEND brings experts in UX research, product design, creative strategy, and more. Focused on the theme of design for all this year, student and industry professional attendees heard from entrepreneurs, authors, experts from Manulife and Google and more.
Though online, participants had the opportunity to network with one another over Zoom and through chat. BLEND 2022 was an opportunity for groups of people from different fields of expertise and career stages to come together to learn and grow.
Get excited because BLEND will be happening again next year! We're looking forward to sharing it with you and growing alongside you.
GBDA 413 Art Exhibition
Around every corner, creative projects have filled the Stratford School this month. Students of instructor Terry O'Neill's GBDA 413 class were tasked with creating a Public Service Announcement art installation project, considering what statement to make to the world through their designs.
These physical design projects had to include a written statement and be at least as large as the designer. Each student told a different story through their designs using various media and styles.

Creator's Collective Virtual Gallery
The Creator's Collective annual gallery, Spectra, went live this month! The Creator's Collective is a student initiative that aims to empower and support our creative communities at the University of Waterloo. The Creator's Collective hosts a yearly exhibition for artists to showcase their creative work or recent artistic activities.
